The problem has been diagnosed as either a problem with the guttering which is the more likely, or something to do with the chimney pots (less convincing but possible).
I'm about to purchase a 2 bed maisonette, and need to completely redo the bathroom. It's about 8' by 5', currently has bath, sink, toilet. I would like to move the bath from under the window (along shorter wall) to along the longer wall, including an in bath shower. The new toilet and sink would then need to be moved to the other side of the room (near where the taps for old bath were before). for it. Once the fittings are in, the floor and walls will need retiling. The wall next to the bath/shower should be tiled to the ceiling, opposite wall tiled around sink, and then painted. I'd appreciate any quotes, and in particular advice on what factors will affect the cost. I'll be looking to do this work in around 2 months time, immediately upon completion, prior to moving in. I'd like estimates for labour and materials excluding cost of new bath, sink and toilet (i.e. including tiles, paint, floor etc.)
The guttering at the back of a terraced house came down during the heavy snow earlier this year. It will need to be replaced and it looks as though the barge board may also need to be replaced.
We are looking for someone to build a 3 room, inc wc, approx 6mx4m overlap cladded, timber framed, insulated, guest cottage in the garden. We would be looking for an asap start. I can email a plan and images to give an idea of look required. Thank you
Possible requirement to move staircase forwards to create enough space. There is also the option to use a section of the kitchen.
I have an Intergraded garage which is approx 4metre by 6metre converted into a utility room. I would like: Garage door removed replaced with french patio doors and surrounding brickwork replaced. A new small window fitted on the side. Ceiling lowered and floor elevated. I have been informed I may not need walls insulated. A gas heater installed which I already have. A new sink, taps and approx 4 new kitchen cupboards with worktop. can you give me a rough quote I also have architects drawing and I am awaiting building warrant.
Small sloping front garden with steps splitting it in two. Need wall down one side and across front. Also want gate, black wrought iron.
Velux window installation Stockton-on-Tees
Single storey extension (kitchen) needs a velux window fitted, this will entail the existing ceiling being taken down and replaced in line with the pitch of the roof.
Likely a one-man job - guess around 35m total length. Lift existing steps and stones (all loose) Scrape away old mortar and dispose Refit steps/stones with suitable material. The "suitable material" is to be supplied but these stones have been refitted many times with mortar which cracks and loosens with use very quickly. I expect a more adhesive material such as tile glue may be more appropriate - to be advised. I also have some other work at my home a mile away which is of a similar nature and scale to discuss which could make the job more like 3 days work overall. They could be inspected for quote together and then worked on at one time but must be quoted and billed separately.
Hi We have a small bathroom that we would like to be tiled, and decorated. The bathroom suite we have is fine, so we would ideally just like the walls, and the floor tiled, ceiling painted, and the fixtures and fitting, mirror put back up, and obviously the bath re-sealed. I understand it's impossible to say for sure, but how much would you anticipate charging for something like this? Would we normally need to buy in all of the tiles/paint first? Also, how much time/disruption would a small bathroom take to be completed? Thanks for your help, obviously, depending on initial thoughts and prices, we will hopefully ask for a full quote. Thanks Chris
