I recently had a problem with a burst pipe which has caused water damage. A new kitchen ceiling is needed and a pipe enlosure in the bathroom needs reinstating. There may also be water damage to kitchen units and flooring.
I am considering remodelling the downstairs area of my house. It currently consists of a shower room (not to be changed) and small hall, a large second bedroom (guest) and a smaller third bedroom (office). There is also a dining room and kitchen. I would like to discuss ways of moving the stairs so that I can make the dining room larger and therefore potentially expand the kitchen too. This may also involve moving the downstairs boiler, replacing flooring, adding underfloor heating, etc. I am looking at completing this job in live with installing a new heating system.
The sandstone chimney has a problem with penetrating damp, my flat is on the 3rd floor so will require scaffholding or a bucket crain, the chimney is on the far side of the property so not on the street, I would like the chimney to be sealed as well as is never used.
I need a painter to paint the outside of bedroom window and the victorian fret work above from green to white - husband has tackled every job apart from this - he is stalling and although is only a 1st floor windows the ladders are not getting aired - definately not keen on heights!
One corner of the flat roof has been blown away in bad weather. It has torn one of the strips which will need replacing along with beading that keeps it held down around the edges.
Finishing ground floor of extension. Installing ceiling, plaster walls, install fire-door to kitchen.
I currently have a brick garden wall that may be able to repair. I would like a quote for a repair & also rebuild.
front and rear upvc guttering replacement approx 10 metres front and 10 metres rear.
I have small bathroom (approx 1.75x2m) that is currently all tiled. I would like to remove all the tiles and replace them with painted walls, only keeping them where necessary (i.e. around the bath and splashback). The floor is tiled and I will be keeping these as they are but they need re-grouting in areas. The bathroom has underfloor heating. I would also like to install an extractor fan on the wall opposite the to the light switch (although the intended location is not far from one of the existing spotlights if that helps). I will strip the original tiles and do the painting myself so I really just need the quote for re-plastering, tiling the bath area (the bath runs from wall to wall on the shorter wall so needs 3 walls tiling) and floor plus the installation of an extractor fan.
