Hello. We have recently bought a small semi in Sheffield; it is part-finished and there are a number of jobs to be sorted in there. We need to sort out the following stuff: 1. Strip out old family bathroom and place a new suite 2. Strip out old wall-paper and sand/paint walls 3. Cavity wall insulation 4. Tarmaic front driveway 5. Strip off rear garden concrete slabs and replace with turf 6. Finish up a half-done downstairs extension with: plaster/paint walls, install a door, install a downstairs WC/cloakroom and some utility cabinets 7. Strip out old wardrobes in two rooms; build new made-to-size ones. 8. Replace old wiring around the house with new and install light fittings/switchboards
Convert semi-detached dormer window from flat roof to sloping, tiled to match existing, and replace wooden fascia and cladding with upvc. Existing semi-detached 3-bed dormer bungalow typical for area. Flat roof to front dormer window is shared with next door, I want to have the dormer roof converted from flat (leaking!) roof to sloping tiled. Most bungalows on my estate have had this done, guess I'm one of the last! The adjoining semi shares the dormer, but only want mine done, as they rent and landlord isn't interested in getting his bit done. I also need the fascias and wooden cladding to be replaced with uPVC or something else which is completely maintenance-free. Finally a small amount of re-pointing to the gable also.
Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, Detached house that suffers quite severe rain/standing water drainage problems on an enclosed, low-level path whenever it rains heavily. The path is composed of large, concrete slabs laid flush against each other, the house, and low-level enclosing walls, and these slabs are now, after 25 years, sloping slightly towards the house.
