Kitchen Fit in GL51
Posted 30 April 2014
Job Description:
I have recently moved to a 1930's house; The very old kitchen needs removing and the new kitchen to be fitted. The old kitchen comprises a sink, two units and a wooden construction, which frames the area where an old wall (not load bearing) was removed. All this needs to go. There are a few tiles but these have nearly fallen off already. I anticipate that there will be a small amount of plastering needed. The house has recently been rewired and work for the gas supply nearly completed - this can be finished at the same time as the kitchen island is fitted if this is best. I have bought a 'Cooke and Lewis' kitchen from B&Q and this is being delivered on 17th May 2014. It is the 'click clack' easy to fit type and comprises one wall of lower units, one wall unit and kitchen island with integrated gas cooker. There is a Belfast sink and the wooden worksurfaces would need the grooves cutting in for draining. The kitchen is very small, the wall for the units is approx 260cm. The kitchen is 260 x 175cm but is mainly open to the dining room. The current arrangements are quite unique and you would need to see them for it to make sense! If it is possible for work to begin in advance of the new kitchen being delivered that would be great. The job may take less time if plastering isn't needed.
